Thanks for bearing with us this week with the gazillion messages we had to send regarding the pool closure, practices, and everything else! We know it was a lot, but we wanted to keep you informed. We appreciate your patience! Fingers crossed this upcoming week will be uneventful!

🐬Coaches held another great Saturday Clinic this week, where swimmers worked on butterfly and breaststroke. It was great to have our swimmers back in the water! Thanks to all who attended!

🐬Meet #2: Our second meet will be at AWAY against JCC on Tuesday, June 16th. This is not a TSA-sanctioned meet (meaning it will not count toward our division record), but it will be run just like one!

• Please update your swimmer’s status (attending or not attending) for this meet by 6pm tonight. It is very hard for us to make day-of-meet changes on deck!
• JCC is located at 12804 Norwood Road, Raleigh, 27613. There are four parking lots to choose from - one directly in front of the pool (between the pool and Norwood Rd) which is primarily reserved for us and another by the older pavilion down the main entrance driveway. If these lots fill up, there are two other lots past the TreeRunner course, one to the left, up by the upper basketball courts/pavilion, and the other to the right, on the far side of TreeRunner ropes course. There is a paved path from that lot that runs behind TreeRunner directly to the pool. It’s well-lit and has signs.
• Our theme is Neon Night. If you’d like to join in the fun, arrive on deck in your best and brightest colors! Please plan to arrive by 5:15 in order to get settled and get your swimmer’s number on their arm. Our swimmers will begin warm-ups at 5:30.
• They have a 6 lane pool and we’ll set up on the side of the pool right as you walk in the gate from the parking lot. Please bring your own chairs as they may not have enough for everyone. They are also in full sun, so feel free to bring a canopy.
• They have a diving board and slide that will be closed for the duration of our time there. Please remind your swimmers that they are off-limits.
• They will have light concessions available (maybe hot dogs and pizza). It is recommended that you bring dinner, snacks, and drinks for your family.
• All volunteers will meet promptly at 5:45. Please review your volunteer position prior to the meet.
• Swimmers in main events will receive their ribbons later this week.
• Please take a moment to review with your child the events that they are swimming, especially right before a race. This will help when they get to the benches before lining up at the blocks!
• Not Attending: The following swimmers are already marked as “not attending” for this meet. If this information is incorrect or if your child gets sick the day of the meet or something else comes up, please let us know ASAP.
