Thanks to everyone for another great week in the pool! We have a lot to share in this email regarding the upcoming week–our first AWAY meet and another fun social event coming up! Please read through to the end!

🐬Saturday Swim Clinic: We had a great first clinic even though the water was a bit chilly! Thanks to those of you that came! Our next swim clinic will be held on Saturday, June 13th. ALL are welcome to attend! We’ll update the focus for the clinic after the meet on Tuesday. Please RSVP in Swimtopia before Friday, June 12th at 4pm.

🐬Meet #1: Our first meet will be at AWAY against Planter’s Walk on Tuesday, June 9th.

• Please update your swimmer’s status for this meet by 6pm tonight. It is very hard for us to make day-of-meet changes on deck! (On the app>>scroll down to Upcoming Events>>click on 2026 Banbury Woods at Planters Walk>>Click on Meet Signup>>Mark your child(ren) attending or not attending).
• Planter’s Walk is located at 901 Lynnwood Road Knightdale, NC 27545. They reserve the pool parking lot for us, but it may fill up. NOTE: The pool parking lot is a ONE-WAY LOOP. If the parking lot is full when you arrive, please park along Lynnwood Road (on the pool side). If necessary, parking is available on Oak Grove and Clay Hill. Please do not block driveways or walk through/between yards.
• Please plan to arrive by 5:15 in order to get settled and get your swimmer’s number on their arm. Our swimmers will begin warm-ups at 5:30. Planters Walk is a 6 lane pool.
• They will have concessions available in their snack shack and accept cash, Apple Pay, or credit. Their tacos/quesadillas are VERY popular!
• Please consider bringing a camp chair (and pop-up, if you’d like more shade) as they may not have enough deck seating for us. We will be sitting on the left side of the pool deck as you walk into the pool.
• This week’s theme is 🌺Hawaiian🌺. If your family would like to participate, we plan to arrive in Hawaiian gear. This should not replace our team swim suits, but just be a fun way for swimmers to build community and arrive on deck with flair!
• All volunteers will meet promptly at 5:45. Please review your volunteer position prior to the meet.
• There will be relays at this meet! Please check the heat sheet or Swimtopia to see if your swimmer is included in a relay!
• There will be a 6 and Under cupcake race after breaststroke for any swimmers that would like to swim! 6 and unders do not officially swim butterfly so they are free to leave after they finish swimming their final stroke (check the heat sheet posted at the pool or your Swimtopia app to see what your child is swimming). However, please check with Coach Charlotte before you leave to make sure your swimmer is not swimming in a final freestyle relay.
• All swimmers in main events will get their ribbons at practice later this week.
• Not Attending: The following swimmers are already marked as “not attending” for this meet. If this information is incorrect or if your child gets sick the day of the meet, or something else comes up, please let us know ASAP. 🐬Meet Attendance in SwimTopia: We have a lot of swimmers that are not yet marked as either attending or not attending for this meet, and therefore will be assumed as “attending.” It would be great if you could take a moment and mark your swimmer attending or not (see past Sunday emails for directions on how to do so in SwimTopia). SwimTopia automatically assumes “attending,” but we really prefer to have parent confirmation. Please mark your attendance for this week’s meet by 6pm tonight!

🐬 Hawaiian Luau Foam Party: Re-wear your Hawaiian gear from Tuesday and get ready for some more fun! Our Luau Foam Party (by Bunny Blast Foam) will be held on Thursday and will start at 6:15pm in the field next to the pool directly following condensed practices (11 & Ups from 4:00-5:00; 6 and Unders from 5:00-5:30; 7–10s from 5:30-6:15). The Foam Party will include fun music with plenty of bubbles and foam. Bathing suits or clothing are fine to wear. Everyone MUST rinse off before heading back into the pool. Matt Granahan will be grilling hotdogs and hamburgers and Grey Dog Ice Cream will be there for you to purchase desserts. Please sign up in Swimtopia to bring side dishes, waters, etc. (On the Swimtopia App>>scroll down to Hawaiian Luau & Foam Party>>click on Job SignUp>>Click on Sign up for Jobs>>check what you’d like to signup for>>click save assignments). If you haven’t already, please also RSVP by June 10th (>>right above the Job Signup on the Hawaiian Luau page on Swimtopia) so we know how many families plan to attend.
