Meet the Coaches/Parent Meeting
Hello 2026 Summer Swim Families!
We are so excited to have you and your swimmer(s) join us this year! Registration closed yesterday and we are happy to share that we have 70 swimmers signed up this season!
Monday, May 18th at 6:00pm will be our first gathering. While our swimmers enjoy ice cream and game time in the cul-de-sac with our coaches, we’ll have a brief parent meeting to kick off the season. We would love to have all of our parents attend as we have important information to review with you before the season begins. We also plan to have a table of previously loved team shirts and swimsuits for those in need. If you have any suits or shirts that do not fit your swimmer(s) any longer, please consider bringing to donate/swap! Our team suit (TYR black/blue T-Splice) can also be purchased on Swimoutlet or on Amazon, although it is not required (plain black racing suit/jammers work just as well!).
Tuesday, May 19th will be our first day of practice.
4:00-5:00 11 & Ups
5:00-5:45 6 & Unders
5:45-6:30 7 & 8s
6:30-7:30 9 & 10s
Because we anticipate the water being quite chilly, please plan to bring extra towels and sneakers for your swimmers the first week. Coaches will most likely split time conditioning on land and in the water during practice times.
If you have not already, please review our Swimtopia page for our team handbook, code of conduct, schedule, etc.
Finally, we are in dire need of some key volunteer positions to be filled. We will discuss this more at our parent meeting, but if you are a returning family, please take a few minutes to consider taking on a new role this season! Without these positions, our team (and meets) cannot be run! Each of these positions requires training.
Meet Maestro: Responsible for maintaining all technology related to the meet, including setting up and monitoring the timing system and entering DQs.
TSA Rep: All teams must have a TSA rep to be a part of the TSA organization. Reps attend TSA meetings once a month throughout the year (if we have multiple reps, they share this responsibility). During meets, Reps meet with the officials and volunteers at the beginning of the meet and handle all rule violations. TSA reps will call the meet for weather and decide when or if we need to eliminate heats to finish the meet.
Stroke & Turn: Watches all main events for swimmers performing the correct strokes and writes out DQs slips for those that violate stroke rules.
We look forward to seeing you on Monday, May 18th at 6pm!
