Meet #2 Recap

It seems that our meets against Southall always prove to be eventful! Thank you to everyone for showing up and hanging in there despite being soaked through to your bones!

Hopefully you will all feel like it was worth it knowing WE WON!!! Way to go team! The final score was BBWHL 270, Southall 183.

Our 15/18 Men’s Medley Relay team broke a standing record from 2016! Way to go, guys!

Thank you to our coaches for all of your hard work despite all of our setbacks so far this season! We are so lucky to have all of you and appreciate you very much!

Thank you to everyone that volunteered last night! We know it wasn’t an easy one, so please know we are so very grateful for you!

Thank you to all of our families for supporting our swimmers by being present and encouraging everyone despite the terrible weather! Thank you also for supporting our concessions–we cleared over $600!

Ribbons for all of our main event swimmers will be given out at practices today.

The weather doesn’t look promising for the next few days, but we will do our best to keep practices as scheduled. Stay tuned to FB and text/emails from Swimtopia for weather alerts.

Because we have missed so many days in the water due to cold temperatures or poor weather, we will be offering a condensed Friday practice: 11 & Ups from 4:00-4:45, 7/8s from 4:45-5:30, and 6 & Unders & 9/10s from 5:30-6:15. Come to practice and then hang out at the pool afterward and enjoy the food truck! 

Don’t forget to RSVP for the Dive and Turns clinic being offered this Saturday @ 10am at the BBW Pool. We know these are skills that a lot of our swimmers could use some help with--we'd love to see you there! 

Our next meet is away at Raleigh Racquet on Tuesday, June 27th. If you haven't already done so, please check your swimmers' attendance and your volunteer status for the upcoming meet and make adjustments on SwimTopia as necessary. It is really hard to change a meet lineup and get volunteers the day of a meet.
